James is an award-winning founder and former CEO of a FastTrack 100 company, and now a non-exec director and business advisor. His entrepreneurial journey began in 2010, boot strapping a cloud based software business from a dusty Cambridgeshire warehouse, which grew into an international business employing over 300 people. Since then, he’s worked with a number of other scale-ups and now uses his knowledge, experience and skills to add value to businesses embarking on their own unique growth journeys.

In 2010, I launched James and James Fulfilment with a friend, frustrated by the lack of tech in the ecommerce fulfilment sector. Four years later, we’d built a multi-million pound business and hit the top quarter of The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 in 2018, 2020 and two other top 100 growth lists in 2021 and 2022. In 2020 I secured £11m of private equity funding, hired some more senior talent and, another year on, I stepped back as CEO having expanded the business into the EU, US and Australia. Along the way, I was proud to win industry recognition, including two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
