ScaleUp Group Supporting Good Causes #EntrepreneursGivingBack

As well as #GrowingGlobalChampions, ScaleUp Group members, partners and clients have been supporting good causes. In February, SUG members and clients supported the Co-Operation Ireland (patrons HM The Queen and President of Ireland) hosted by the Lord Mayor in the Egyptian Hall at the Mansion House.

At the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT) Business Lunch on 20th Feb, ScaleUp Group Chair John O’Connell presented a £10K cheque to WCIT Master Lady Parmley for WCIT Charities – the proceeds from the 2018 Enterprise Awards (the “Oscars for Technology Entrepreneurs”) which SUG Members, led by John, help judge, organise and deliver.

Amongst other things WCIT Charities provide: IT capabilities in centres supporting 100’s of young people living with a broad range of disabilities helping to increase skills and confidence,  coding workshops in prisons to help rehabilitation and assistive technology in children’s hospices nationwide to keep children and families smiling by helping to break down the communication barriers so many experience.

But the need and work does not stop … we will shortly be launching the 2019 Enterprise Awards and on 21st March SUG, will be hosting a table at WCIT) Charity Dinner at the iconic Goldsmith’s Hall to raise further funds for WCIT Charities.
