Our Story
ScaleUp Group was founded on the realisation that the impact one individual could have, both in terms of time and capital, in supporting early-stage businesses was ultimately limited.
Our founder and serial entrepreneur, John O’Connell, brought together a team of highly experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders in the UK, whose expertise, networks, and appetite for supporting ambitious companies could be truly transformative.
John built a community of hands-on individuals, with the ability and willingness to invest personally — often alongside a dedicated fund — in the companies we support.
