ScaleUp Group Investment Partners contribute to a new £3.5million facility, a £9 million investment since November 2019
This latest investment will be in two tranches – £2m equity, led by Gresham with support from ScaleUp Group Partners and current angel investors – together, optionally, with a £1.5 million loan from Gresham. This round builds on a previous £5.3m investment from the Mobeus VCT, (recently acquired by Gresham House Plc) and ScaleUp Group in November 2019. This means 21 Members of ScaleUp Group will have invested more than £400k in ActiveNav.
ActiveNav is a leading data privacy and governance software provider, helping privacy and compliance teams to quickly identify, inventory and map sensitive data. Developed with the goal of achieving Zero Dark Datatm across all types of repositories, ActiveNav’s software discovers and maps data in minutes for compliance with a range of global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CPRA and others. This latest investment follows a strong period of growth for ActiveNav, during which the company bolstered its customer portfolio with some of the world’s best-known brands, including Equifax, the US Army and Voya Financial.
The new investment will be used in commercialising its SaaS-based solution set, following an encouraging response from the market to its first release, Inventorytm, which was launched in September last year. Inventorytm provides mid-market companies with access to enterprise-level data discovery solutions for user created data across a wide range of repositories.
