7 ScaleUp Group (SUG) clients were recognised at the prestigious 2019 Enterprise Awards (aka “Oscars for Tech Entrepreneurs”) on Tuesday 25th June. The Awards were received at a Celebratory dinner held at the Hilton Park Lane attended by over 400 people representing the best of the best of UK Technology Entrepreneurs and included SUG guests and members.
Now in their 9th year, the Enterprise Awards are the brainchild of ScaleUp Group Chairman John O’Connell – who also Chaired the Enterprise Award Judging Panel and co-compèred the evening.
The awards are significant in terms of raising growing growth capital .. Research from Nadine Torbey at Albion Capital has shown that Enterprise Awards winners have raised on average £24M and in total Enterprise Award winners have raised more than £500m !
ScaleUp Group additionally organises and sponsors the Enterprise Awards in association with the IT Livery company (WCIT) and SUG Members (i.e. Lisa Powis, Paul Excell, Nick Kingsbury, Paddy MccGwire, Rob Wirszycz) offer their experience, knowledge and commitment to the rigorous judging process which includes a visit, mentoring and report on every finalist. The Enterprise Awards also raise money for WCIT charities using technology to provide opportunities and improve Quality of life. So the Enterprise Awards is very consistent with the ScaleUp Group vision of #GrowingGlobalChampions and being #EntrepreneursWithPurpose.
